The task
DYC is an organization of Medical Professionals and volunteers supporting young people living with diabetes in Ghana.
They were looking for a way to break down information about diabetes in everyday language that would resonate with their people. This gave us the opportunity to create a design system that makes the information easily digestible as ABC.
Solution
Diabetes Youth Care is for young people living with Diabetes so we chose a design style that is trendy, engaging and can be consumed on the go.
By breaking the information down using the letters of the alphabet, one can pick one letter at a time and learn. The infographic nature of the solution brought information about diabetes home with its non-scientific users and ensured that the young people living with diabetes are empowered to take control of their journey. Today a lot more young people are prepared to put up a fight against Diabetes, thanks to the power of information made easy as ABC.
